Who are we?

MattoMattia is a project born from the instinctive impulse of someone who felt, more in their gut than in their head, that it was time to create something of their own.

Our garments are beyond the bounds of mass production: our collections are made up of just a few models, made in limited editions, to order.

We don't work on a made-to-measure basis, but each piece is carefully tailored, designed to be comfortable, inclusive, often unisex, and generally oversized.

From the vision of contemporary tailoring, rooted in the principle of the circular economy: the fabrics are high-quality, sourced from supplies destined for large-scale production, which we give a new lease of life.

Buttons and accessories, when possible, are chosen from remaining warehouse stock or sought out at vintage markets.

Alongside these materials, we also use high-quality sheets from luxury hotels that, due to small imperfections, can no longer be used for their original purpose.

We transform them into garments or linings, sometimes dyeing or painting them by hand in an artisanal way.

This means that the same model can have small variations that make it unique.

Rather than chasing seasons and trends, we prefer to be guided by what truly inspires us. We design with a style that will last over time, accompanying those who wear it on their journey.

We believe in a fashion that enhances the identity of those who wear it.

MattoMattia has just been born and there is still much to come, but every piece we create carries with it the beginning of an authentic and personal story.
